A new startup tactic slow is the perfect way to do something. When you’re selling an idea, you’re selling it for a few days, and then you have to figure out what you got. But you can do it all over again. This tactic is much more effective when you’re going after a new idea.
This tactic is slow because youre selling an idea you need time to find. You need the time to market and test it, you need the time to gather support, you need the time to build a team and develop it, you need the time to ship and test. All the time youre going to lose because youre running late on the road.
This is a great tactic because youre selling it slower because youre selling it with more urgency. But, youve gotta take a break. Once youve sold it, youre going to have to deal with all the hard work of building it and shipping it out and testing it. And if you dont learn how to do that, then youre not going to have the time to make a new version of it that works and youll have to start over.
In the meantime, you can always test it on the road by giving it to people. You might find that it is more responsive than you thought, or you might get a lot of feedback and get a great deal on it.
If you’re not already taking action in this context, then just keep it up. If you’re still not satisfied with the current design, or if your new solution has some sort of new effect on your site, then you can always consider it as a step in the right direction.
I have no doubt there are a lot of other great startups out there. However, I can’t help but think that the majority of these companies just need more funding. Why are they trying to sell so many cool things when they could be doing something a lot more interesting? There are plenty of cool startups out there (including a bunch of us), but they are all so focused on selling “just one more thing” that they don’t even realize they’re not selling something that they are.
I think the problem here is that so many startups focus on selling something they believe in. I mean, they may need a cool toy, but they don’t need to sell the product itself. There’s always the possibility that someone will try to sell you something that you don’t need and that you’ll end up buying for free, but that’s not what most of these startups are about.
I think the problem here is that many entrepreneurs are so focused on selling their product that they don’t realize that they are selling something that they themselves want more.
Entrepreneurs are most often selling products they believe in. That may not be the case with your own startup, but the thing about being an entrepreneur is that it takes time to go from idea to product to consumer. If you start out selling something you don’t want and don’t believe in, then you’re most likely going to fail. But if you do something you believe in that you believe in, you’ll be a success.
The people who make us do these things are the people we choose to be. They make us do it. This is why youre all free to think like a tech entrepreneur, because youre not the first person out there to buy a product.
