This is true. I’ve been through a lot of depression, I’ve been through a lot of anxiety, and I’ve been through a lot of all of the above. And, for the most part, I’ve been able to put a lot of that anxiety down to a lack of self-awareness. The things I feel are usually the same as my body, but I don’t see what’s wrong with my body, I see what’s wrong with my feelings.
This is the main reason why I think these feelings and thoughts are so hard to control. Because the feelings and thoughts that come at you all the time are often not the same as your body’s responses. It’s like playing the game of “Call of Duty” with your body. If your body is doing a good job of tracking you while you play, the game is going to tell you that you’re doing pretty good.
The other reason is that my body is not in a state of relaxation, I am in a state of rest. It is like eating a lot of carbs, with my body I am trying to eliminate the carbs. It is like watching the movie or playing the guitar that I dont feel like playing. If it is a relaxing experience, it is very relaxing.
To play the game of Call of Duty, you have to be absolutely, completely, and totally in the zone so you don’t get distracted by the game’s many distractions (other people, other weapons, etc.). That said, this is also true of most games. The best part about playing a game of Call of Duty is that when you are in a relaxed state, you are not in the zone.
