I’m not sure if it has to do with how we choose to define ourselves, but I do believe that there are three levels of self-awareness, and that these levels all come from three different sources. The first is our own thoughts, which are usually unconscious. The second is our own internal dialogue, which is usually unconscious. And the third is our own external dialogue; this is usually unconscious.

We need to understand that the things that harm us are more than the things that harm us; they are also more than what we “created” for others. To understand this we have to understand that our actions are going to cause us harm.
